"New Coat of Paint" is the first song from The Heart of Saturday Night, the second studio album by singer and songwriter Tom Waits, released on October 15, 1974, on Asylum Records. The images include jazz dancers from the 1930s and early 40s. The city images are were taken from the 1927 movie: Berlin, Symphony of a Great City, directed by Walter Ruttman. Most overrated artist possibly in history, most of his musical/piano riffs are stolen from old jazz/blues songs. He didn't even try to hide it. Nothing original about him.
