Did you go to Kelvinbridge? There's an old coal yard down by the river with tunnels. Great content.

Thanks for a very enjoyable video. In the 70s, the entrance to the tunnel was open, and you could access the old station. Did it a few times way back then -- a very scary experience. It probably took only a couple of minutes to walk to the station, but it seemed like an eternity. And then you had to go back...

Excellent video! I knew you'd do an absolute cracking vlog of this trip! Those new trains look like alien craft as they wizz in and out of the tunnels!

Thanks for this, I have heard of the Botanics Line and seen it mentioned on the rail forum etc but it was interesting to see the remains of the old station. I will try and get a subway card first before I ride on the subway again. I enjoyed my trip to the Burrell collection a few days ago though, the walking route is very well signed from Pollokshaws West station.

One of the most interesting things about Kibble Palace is that it was originally sited in the village of Coulport (now home to the UK's trident missiles), and was actually moved a reassembled in Glasgow. There used to be an active site called Hidden Glasgow (the site's basically dead these days) and some people on there managed to get into the old station. And back in the 90s and 2000s there used to be illegal raves held in the old rail tunnels!

Great to see the new subway trains. Also the visit to the Botanic Gardens. Didn't know about the old hidden station! Yes, can't get lost on the Glasgow Subway. Last on it a couple of years ago, looking forward to taking a trip, next time in Glasgow. Good vlog, Roger. 😊 👍

Use the Glasgow underground 3 - 4 times per week. I live in Govan.

It was never the same since they closed Merkland Street. I can remember the old station, and the dark red trains that were replaced by the 'Clockwork Oranges"

the actual platform where you would wait for the train to get on or off it was behind the wall where that policebox is

Walked along it as kids from Kelvingrove with my brother and sister in the sixties.

Couple of torches and followed all the way to Argyle Street opposite the old Grandfare supermarket.

Low level railway nowadays.

There are abandoned railway tunnels south of bridge of earn, you can walk through both. You’ll need a powerful torch as in the middle you are submerged in darkness.
