Why on earth would someone choose Pico 4 for sim racing when you can buy pico neo 3 link which is far superior with display port uncompressed signal and for less money? It also outclasses quest 2 when talking about pc vr. Terrible advice on this video

If VR Realism is your only concern get a PC dedicated unit. For me I like the quest because I can also take it for different stand alone games. but it does come with some snuggle struggles getting it to be great with Steam VR. Then again I am still rocking an Nvidia 1080 but it still runs well and taking lines is so much better

If you wear glasses, spend $50USD at HonsVR and get lenses for your headset with your prescription. I have the reverb G2 V2 and have had it for a while.

I never used a VR headset so ended up getting the quest2 on Amazon. I have 30 days to return it.

My first game i tried was dirt rally 2. To say i was blown away is an understatement.

I did not realize how you it makes you feel like your in the car.

I just pretty much wasn't expecting to actually feel like i was really in a car. I guess i just expected it to feel like closer to a 2d experience.

I didn't race but just went into the test area. I did start to get a little motion sickness and stopped. I read that with time out should go away.

The little driving i did do could feel more like i could control the car because I'm in there car virtually.

Im also using Fanatec csl dd wheel with pedals, shifter and handbrake.

I'll most likely send this back and get the quest 3 or something better.

I still have Frankenquest 1, can’t justify an upgrade after experiencing PSVR2. Until someone makes a truly plug and play, lightweight and comfortable PC equivalent everything else just feels like a compromise.
The rumored Steam Deckard concept is the only one that feels like a true step forward.

Sadly the psvr2 for now is unmatched at its price point and not (really) working in PC yet.
And sadly gt7 for now is the only console sim racing game supporting the curent sony vr headset.

When looking at similarly priced headsets from the likes of htc or meta they either have roughly the same resolution but no oled panels or far worse resolution.
So let's hope for drastic improvements in 2024.

Excuse me generously, but how were you able to connect Quest 2 directly to the video card? In my humble opinion this is simply impossible, Quest 2 only connects to USB via a cable. Which is also not included.

I love my Quest 2. Took me a month to get my VR legs and stop getting sick. And I play other games on the pc and standalone. Just buy a bobo VR headstrap and you can play for hours.

Only option on that list was G2, all others compress image (can have artifacts/delay), G2 has uncompressed straight DP connection, without some WIFI in ur head.

You most certainly can buy and use the Pico 4 in the U.S. ... I'm typing this comment on one right now. Stop spreading misinformation.

People complaining about compression and opting for lower resolution and fresnel lenses because of that?

Compression is there, don't get me wrong. But the image quality is much better than people make it seem with these complaints. Having Meta Pro, the pancake lenses are so big step forward I see it easily worth some minor artifacts. Which, to be honest, I can't even see when playing, or see very rarely for a very limited time.
