The worst part about being addicted to these is that they actually work and work very well. If you're like me you know that waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air because both nostrils are plugged, it's quite scary

Shout out to all the real ones who's taken a hit of nasal spray before watching the video.

I have used it for more than 10 years. Then I found solution. Just use it on one side of nose for next 7 days then the other side will become free of addiction. That's when you learn to breathe with one side of nose only then stop using completely for next week as you breathe through one side of nose only.. then you will be able to get rid of nose spray completely.

it took me 1 year to find out i was addicted, i was running off of these constantly and couldn’t breathe without them, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! everyone is different but for me, i had to just throw the bottle away and blast a humidifier along with nasal strips and just a regular saline mixture of salt and water. it took up to a week and a half to be able to adjust and i still have breathing problems at night, but it sure isn’t as bad as it was when i was on afrin

I use it before I go to bed because every night my nostrils just close and I end up breathing through my mouth. Like everything relevant in this world, coffee, nicotine, alcohol, adrenaline.. it’s addictive

This is the last thing I needed to see after buying my first spray bottle of Vick’s sinex

I'm 61 years old and I've been addicted to nasal sprays ever since I was in high school. I thought about having nasal surgery done on me but my doctor prescribed me to a Fluticasone Propionate steroid spray. Well so far it works for me and didn't have to go through nasal surgery after all. It just gave me life and I feel like a new person again. That's just me.

I've been addicted for 10 years and it's been horrible. And I'm only 17.

Use the spray for only one nostril so u can breath and let the second nostril heal until you stop using it for both

Been addicted for 8years now. I‘m trying to stop rn but it‘s hell. It‘s not even the nose being glogged up, it‘s the FEELING of it that drives me nuts.

I'm 23 and 8 years ago I was very addicted to decongestants. I used them for so long that even through I managed to quit by my own (it wasn't easy!) my nose is often dry. NEVER repeat my mistake!

Flonase and nasacort was a miracle for me. My doctor said to use it, twice in each nostril, and don’t blow my nose, don’t think about it, etc. I was convinced it wasn’t going to work but he said not to sit there and say “it’s not working, it’s not working”. After ten minutes I blew my nose, and it was clear. Never had an issue getting off those crap. Only thing was for the first week, I did have to sometimes use it 3-4 times a day.

I was hooked on it. Actually have been many times but I know how to get off of it. I get hooked because I can't sleep with a plugged nose. If I get a cold, I use the spray to breathe. Once the cold is gone, I only spray my nose at night, and then only if I have to. In the daytime, I take Sudafed and suffer through it. It takes 2-3 days to break free.

This stuff is ridiculous. It clearly says how to use it on the bottle, but same for me, I've been hooked on this stuff for years. I just recently found out just how dangerous it truly is. Insomnia, anxiety, depression, anger, and the list goes on. I just found an article on Reddit that advises to dilute the Afrin with saline solution. Doing this will get you off this stuff within weeks to a month. I'm definitely gonna do this starting today.

I just wish I could breath without it. I had gotten off of nose spray for a year, but recently I couldnt breath at all so I used it again. This world sucks man I just wanna breath normally.
