Thank you for this simple introduction. When you came to the point of it finding matches on Family Search I'm assuming that if you are logged onto Ancestry the same result would occur? If so this sounds like the way forward for me starting mine. I'm very reluctant to simply getting Ancestry to produce a GEDCOM file which I install in case I've still got some errors on my tree and mess up work. This is a perfect channel for me as I use Apple and want to have a copy of my tree on Family Tree Maker 2019 . I also assume that it doesn't work with Find My Past so I'd have to manually enter those facts as I do when adding them to my main Ancestry records.
