Thanks for the video. It was helpful. I just have one question, when I try to do the adjustment layer with the rectangle fill, I don't get that same effect. Instead I just get a solid rectangle. How can I fix this? Thanks

stupid stupid question (a dumb beginner here sorry haha): I know we have to hide background layer to get the mask effect but if I would like to have background white (or any other color) + black text, what should I have to do before render in order to get the same effect applied only inside the text? i have a problem with the motion tile. when i preview it at lower resolutions it seems fine, but when i render the video or set the preview to full resolution it stretches and looks very weird

I dont get how yours is all wave still when you turned the wave speed to 0. Mine just looks static now except it's scrolling right.

Hi! I'm currently in the process of making a video for my YouTube channel, in which the title sequence requires text that has to be motion-tiled. I try moving any of the options (Output Width, Output Height, etc.) and nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. The text is over footage, and I've tried working with different rendering qualities. For those interested, I have a Mac and am using the latest version of After Effects. Thank you for your help!
