Night Sky Timelapse with a Fujifilm X100 V

While the Fujifilm X100 V is certainly not the first choice for astrophotography it is certainly usable for the occasional night sky photography session. In terms of ISO performance it is up to the other Fujifilm APS-C cameras. The lens suffers from a bit of coma but not in a way that the images are unusable. So, even at night this camera does a good job and being so small and light it is a good companion for roaming around in the mountains.

Shot during a summer night on the Misenstock in Switzerland. The timelapse shows the Milky Way over the Bernese Alps.

Stephan! "useable"? That was excellent. Perfect exposure- no trail and clear, excellent Grails and w/b with the noise, and your frame rate was great. That is an EXCELLENT clip! I shoot with a D850 and honestly, there is no real difference! Great job! I am so envious of that incredible foreground! Keep doing this!

How did you manage to avoid posterization on the sky? Is it all being done manually to every shot taken, or does the camera itself correct that? I'm thinking about upgrading to some Fuji as the Go Pro 10 is evidently unable to get rid of posterization, that's why am asking.
