Do exhaust series if you haven't yet! Great video. Love that you were able to put test sounds.

Whilst I do have the K&n FIPK I’m seriously considering going back to stick with the LHT air ox mod.

The best mod is the oem intake with a minor box modification and K&N filter - if you threw away your stock box - so sorry. Honda engineers know what they are doing... LHT performance channel for all S2000 content.

The K&N FIPK kit is made of Injection Molded Plastic...
It's "heat shield" isn't very effective at all either.

The AFE, Mugen, Password, and Stock intake are the only ones worth using as heat soak happens quick with others or the others don't draw in cooler air.

One big plus of a ASM Intake Arm for 00-05 cars is the IAT relocation which will read IATs at the intake arm not the intake manifold resulting in more consistent temps with less heat soak.

K&N Fipk in addition to test pipe and feel good improvement. Not only sound but response too.

For anyone trying to make more power out of your S2000 an intake alone is going to give you very minimal gains. When I say minimal I mean you might gain 2-3hp. I’ve found that they definitely do give a nicer induction noise and throttle response but they aren’t much for power. Trying to make power out of an S2000 without serious mods is next to impossible. Even a full headerback exhaust I’ve felt a small gain in mid range torque. If your goal is to make power just go with a supercharger kit, it’s not a cheap thing between the kit, ecu tune, and all the extras that came with it but these cars don’t make power easily. If you’re buying an intake just buy the one that fits your budget or that looks the best for you. I currently have the FIPK but plan on switching to the Comptech as it looks nicer and is still carb legal here in California.
