it's not bad, i use wires all the time, because they:
1:allow you to forget about batteries
2: Controller with a wire lives longer
3:It is more reliable in terms of signal sending

PowerA is good. Not amazing, but they're pretty cheap and reliable.

My last PowerA controller died after the literal circuitry fried, which happened way later than I have to replace my Xbox controllers for stick drift.

it's a 3rd party licensed thing, they all get "use for xbox" logos on them and a good majority of them all use wires. the only ones you don't see do that are on the level of the same prices as official, or 3rd party "pro" options.

As a power A controller owner, I can confirm that they are indeed wired, but the controller itself is great. Works like a charm

On thing I do is have a extension lead with a plug I wire into that way I don’t have to deal with faulty wires

My Power A controller sucks butt. The rumble intensity setting doesn't work, and there's a constant buzzing sound in my headphones if I use it. I highly recommend just going for a first party controller for a little more if you plan on using it, it'll help you long term. If you just wanna collect the designs though that's chill
