Thanks for the video, man. I have a 2006 FX4, same color. I've been trying to find out how much fluid is lost for a simple change like this, and I think you answered that question.

You just added the fluid into where the dipstick was?

Replace the pan with one that has a drain plug next time !

I just bought a 2006 Ford ranger 138k miles and it runs great! Squeaky as heck but strong runner. I got it looked at and serviced with a full synthetic oil change. But was told to not change the transmission fluid. But you are doing it here. Should I change it myself. Wonder why they tell me that.

Do u need to put gasket or atv on the pan?

When going into drive and reverse my transmission takes a second and I can feel it going into gear. Is this normal on older vehicles or is this something I should look at repairing?

I would invest in a new pan with a drain plug !

I have a 2008 ford ranger to I am my transmission done tomorrow bc it starting to slip on me a little i have the same truck but just a different color how many miles is on your ranger buddy
