Typing on touchscreen devices is hard because we can’t feel the keys and must rely on our sight to both move our fingers and check for errors. I agree with the rest, really effective, but not really for the #1 in my case. I type using the left index and the right thumb. I started typing like this since I got a wider and longer phone. my typing is position where my right middle finger pointer rest on the middle side edge while half of my thumb rest the the bottom for support as my left index streches across the keyboard. My right index pointer rest at the upper edge while the rest of the right fingers spreads across the back to hold the phone except for my right pinky where it also rest at the bottom for support for my right thumb to easily position on the x and space bottom For adjustment aside from dominating the left area keys. Why did we have to get rid of side drawer keyboards from our cell phones anyway? I have hated texting ever since. Guy at the store said I would get used to it. Know what? 10 years later still not used to it.

I wish Google Docs would stop underlining "errors". The text is often correct and fixing errors is much more fiddly with pop-ups appearing. I switched off error correcting everywhere in the phone and in the keyboard, but Google Docs still underlines stuff.

But what about swipe? How does that compare? It seems a lot easier and quicker to me than multi-fingered typing ... at least for me. Maybe I haven't practiced typing enough. I just know I like swipe better than typing. :-)

I am trying thumb typing for the first time. Thank God for auto correct, it's hard to do with long nails.
It's waaaay too slow went back to my index finger.
