Congressman-elect George Santos faces federal investigation

Federal and county prosecutors are looking into Congressman-elect George Santos after the Long Island Republican lied on his resume. CBS2's Lisa Rozner reports.

Pay attention to what they are saying about what actions the constitution provides, or doesn’t provide, if he is sworn in. That’s where they want to go with this. These people want to pick away at another piece of our constitution.

George Santos started the Devolder Organization LLC in 5/11/2021. He listed his income before at $50, 000 a year. From his corporate Headquarter in a 2 bedroom apartment in Merrit Island Florida he somehow became a millionaire able to loan his own campaign $700, 000.

The SEC, FBI, DEA, FEC, Homeland Security, and the IRS are going to want to know where that money came from. Because of tax evasion, drug money, money laundering, human trafficking, terrorism, election finance violations, and espionage concerns.

Regardless of what political affiliation someone is, falsifying your credibility is immoral and unethical. . Whether his party will hold him accountable is yet to be determined but the fact that no one has spoken out against his actions is repulsive.
