I've bought 20 shares and plan to increase this to 100 until end of 2025, because I think they're a pretty much certain turn-around candidate, just like AMD was when they had the same problems back then and I think it will turn around a lot faster than AMD did. My guess is back to around 50-60$ until 2027. Is it a risk? Yes. But how often do you get a market proven company in a dry spell for lower than book? Almost never.

The last time I invested in a stock that did extremely well was during Covid when I invested in Moderna & zoom and I am so sad that i missed out on Nvidia. I have $360, 000 in cash and am looking for new sectors to invest in for the next five years. Any suggestions?

Daily Chart of @INTEL stock INTC has a gap above at $29/share but currently trading below $20/share 💰 💰 💰

INTEL reminds me of General Electric (GE) stock which once was hammered down by the short sellers but the comeback was spectacular!

Although a turnaround is possible, it is a long shot. They are in a bad situation with competition hitting them hard on all markets. There is a big inertia in the B2B space where software is often being developed for a specific hardware vendor, thus it didn't appear on numbers until 4-5 years after they starting to lose their reputation in around 2017. For now this is not looking good, and the window to turn around quickly is getting smaller each day. If they don't do it in the next 2-3 years, they will have a rough time in the following 10. (Just a personal opinion)

Personally, I don't think I'd use average free cash flow for the DCF. Intel is overhauling itself. It's a turnaround candidate, at best. FCF will have to be reset, assuming they can go back to positive flows.

I wouldn't touch Intel with a ten foot pole.

So I have like 4 shares of this company but i bought at the end of last year :(

I’ve been holding because I’d think by the end of the decade it would be bigger than it is now but it looks like they’re gonna die off.

Should i cut my losses and sell out and reinvest with what i have left into something else? Like at what point does one accept their losses and decide to sell? I’ve been always in the buy and hold mentality and it’s hard to sell in general

Boys, do not waste money on a company that is in deep $hit. When it comes to Semis do not only think of NVIDIA but also of analog semis and manufactures that are important also for the client side of AI. ASML, ADI, Infineon, STMicro and others. In current stage the data centers are in focus but AI will boost all semis over the next years and decade.

Intc has been recording a TERRIBLE track record over a long time period. Will they disappear? Highly unlikely. Does that make them a buy? NO! Buying a company because “they will be around forever” produces dismal results like those you would have seen following Walgreens into the ground. Hertz? Kodak? At one time, these companies would have been considered for a “recovery” which they haven’t made yet. Can they? Possibly, but in the meantime it’s dead money or losing money. Intel certainly has the cachet to pull it off, but it may take years to do so. Building out “fabs” - new chip plants, will require a great deal of capital and time before it starts paying off. And nobody knows if the plan will work. In this case, it’s probably better to wait until the party starts to put your money in. Better late than stagnant.

A dying company with poor management, I’d put my money elsewhere.

Sorry. Wouldn't touch this stock even if the price drops to $1. Sunset company, no?
