Around the original circuit (14.2 miles) Niki Lauda did it in under 7 minutes, since then it’s been shortened to 12.9 miles, and the Tesla did it over 7 minutes. Just goes to show how crazy good a driver Niki Lauda was. Still a good record for an electric car 👍

Well the 7:25 time is pretty impressive. That puts it at the top of 4 door production sedans besting the m5 cs, gt63s, porsche panamera TS falling shy of the XE SV project 8. Though some people claim the car was still limited to 175 mph as it didnt really go over 290 kmh for the entire run, even on the straights.

The fact that the Enzo doesn’t even have that good of a transmission (automated manaul which is slower than a normal manual or modern day automatic/dct) shows just how good of a car it was of its time.

If it has speed like that, we could expect the roadster to go against the 911 GT2 RS MR and the AMG One, but I don’t think everyone will appreciate the roadster because of its EV heart

The gt3 that the Tesla beat was one of the slowest ones. There are a few gt3s under the 7 minute mark
