Hi everyone, I'm Callum the writer and director of The Statement 👋 Making this film wasn't easy and we've learnt a lot over the years making this. I just wanted to say how proud I am of the whole team and what we managed to achieve. Enjoy!

Few observations / questions

1) I have the exact same backpack. Is it the olive or the tan version in the movie? Hard to tell with B&W

2) Was the movie inspired by the Lovecraft novellas "The Statement of Randolph Carter" and "The Call of Cthulhu"? Kinda got those vibes

Great work overall

10 / 10 better then S4 of True Detective / Subscribed.

Not easy to properly do cosmic horror, imo. Showing cosmic horror is even harder (especialy on a budget), because it's supposed to insipre madness, things beyong human comprehension. So, I prefere to not see, like you did, rather than seeing something that is "just" a monster / demon. Witnessing the horror and the trauma in the eyes of a good actor was a good choice.
