Let's Play! - Bushido: Risen Sun by GCT Studios

It's time for another Let's Play! Today I take a look at the new edition of BUSHIDO from indie developer GCT Studios and their 2 Player Starter Set, RISEN SUN.

I have seen some wrong rules:
-When you run you also get a -1 on melee dice
-If you are surprised you cant benefit from Lighning Reflexes or Reach also you cant do Ki feats (which is boosting your melee)
-I dont have a rulebook but i am sure you cant reroll dice with 6´s
-To score points you have to be completly in the zone BUT you can harras the enemy to walk in a zone but not completly. Also to score you have to have more points AND more models in a zone.

Awesome video as always.
Your Bushido videos convinced me to try the game myself a little over a year ago and I'm now completely sold on this awesome game.

Some notes:
Tired state doesn't exist anymore in Risen Sun. A model is only Exhausted if it has no more activation tokens.
So when Akira used Dragon's Vigour, he actually attacked on his 3 activation counter and thus didn't have an Exhausted penalty. Unless Akira himself ran, he would have rolled 4 dice in that exchange.

Combo attack at success level 0 or 1, still allow 1 additional damage roll on 0

As someone else mentioned already, you don't reroll 6s.

If a model is reduced to 0 dice or less, both players gain an extra die on their roll until the model has 1 die again.

A model that gets killed in a melee exchange, doesn't get to do a counter attack damage roll, even though its dice result my have resulted in a hit.

Love the game. Especially the constant player involvement in every decision. Small warbands, small play space, low terrain needs, missions with mechanics to try and keep players all involved throughout.

Plus the models are great and they're getting more towards single piece for ease of handling.

Hey Ash a few things.
A "Surprised" Model may not declare any Ki Feats or Boasts and is always 2nd in Melee exchanges.
A Model with "assassin" May roll 3 dice for damage, choosing 2 of them to add for the result against a "Surprised" Model.
Also I am having trouble finding the rule on, if you roll a 6 during a Melee Exchange you get to re-roll 1 die. This may have been a Beta rule however I'm not finding it in the Official release.

Another idea for game mats, go to your local DIY store (I think Americans call it Home Depot. Bunnings for my fellow Australians), and buy 4 1'x1' stonelook vinyl tiles. The whole lot will set you back maybe $10

Keen to get back into Bushido, I have a mat for Guildball that has a 2x2 square in the middle which is perfect for it. It's cool that I can use the mat for both games.
