ONPHA’s Award for Excellence, sponsored by Prentice Yates and Clark Chartered Professional Accountants, recognizes innovative non-profit housing corporations that respond to tenant and/or community needs with imagination and insight.
Our 2016 winner, Wigwamen Incorporated, is Ontario’s oldest and largest urban Aboriginal non-profit housing provider, operating over 600 units in Toronto and 41 units in Ottawa. In operation since 1972, Wigwamen has demonstrated excellence through their remarkable commitment to tenant support and engagement, strong community partnerships, high-quality housing, and their commitment to expanding affordable housing options.
