Voyager 1 spacecraft has completed 44 years in space. The iconic Voyager missions were launched in 1977 to explore the gas giants of the solar system. After completing their primary mission, these two spacecraft kept going. Today, Voyager 1 is the farthest manmade object in space. At a distance of about 14 billion miles, it takes about 21 hours for the signal to get there.

In this video, let's look at the incredible journey of Voyager 1 beyond the solar system.

Voyager is a solo travel vloger of solar system, who is still traveling and sending data related to best hotels with low cost and best food present in outer space, jokes appart but this probe defeated every outer space dust partical who tried to stop it's journey, I wish I could travel one day like it in outer space 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I calculated the distance voyager 1 has travelled from it launch date 05 September 1977 until today 18 September 2021 and i came up with 8, 628, 731, 452, 800 kilometres so over 8 and one half thousand billion km..and still in contact with earth today..and it takes around 29 hours for its signal travelling at 300 thousand km/second to reach earth...Amazing!

Voyager's story is awesome. Hopefully an alien discovers it and pimps the ride so it can keep voyaging.

Fantastic stuff; when we look up at the stars we still feel the wonder that the first men felt.

I remember first seeing those planet pictures in Grandpa's Nationsl Geographic. Mind blowing images. We had never before saw such detail. Miss those days.

It will be a very sad day when the voyagers go quiet, no more information, and they will be very alone out there just hope one day we can catch them up and bring them home, ,what and where will they be in a thousand years from now we may never know, ,god bless them they have done so much, ,always had a soft spot for these craft as I grew up with them even watched the launch 🚀 so many years ago seems a shame if no one finds them to play the records fingers crossed 🤞

I feel a bit emotional when you said Voyager will disconnect with earth in 2027

The distance of Voyager 1 from Earth is currently 23, 191, 092, 444 kilometers, (14, 410, 276, 761.2145 miles, ) which is equal to 155.022878 Astronomical Units. (1 AU = average Earth/Sun distance.)

Light takes 21 hours, 29 minutes and 17.1577 seconds to travel from Voyager 1 and arrive to us, and travelling at a whopping 17 kilometers per second, (38, 000 mph., compared to Voyager 2 at 15 kilometers per second, or 35, 000 mph., ) those numbers are growing fast.

I feel like Pixar can make a heart wrenching animation on the Voyagers...

hopefully.... voyager 1 will be discovered by some form of intelligent life in the distant future and learn how humanity was once a thing on this tiny wet rock we called Earth hurling through space.
And that Earth was a collage of vastly different environments teeming with multitudes of different species coexisting simultaneously in beautiful yet dramatic harmony.
