thanks for talking about this Vice. just the hoops of the "regular" VA issues are crazy enough.  I'm an OIF Veteran and been getting care from the VA since 06'.  Their waiting game puts the military to shame. Looking forward to tuning in tonight, Could you please make it available afterward too for those guys who might end up missing all or some of it tonight. Thanks again VICE News, yall are the best!!

I don't get why the VA needs separate hospitals/facilities. Just give each serviceman a card that says they're a vet, they go to any hospital and they get what's needed, no questions asked. They deserve nothing less than rapid care.

Man sounds like Canadian health care. Fought 6 years with doctors to tell me I need spinal disks implants. 2 years to get surgerie another year to get physio and only got 10 session then pretty much push me to the curb with a bunch of pills that hurt me more than my back and neck pains because i had problems for so long the pain was still there after surgery. It was 9 years ago that I started having symptoms and still fighting with doctors.

I heard this once but it's so true. Our backs/spines were designed like a clothes line for us to walk on all four. We're using it to walk upright like a flag pole.

Without knowing all the facts surrounding his back injury i feel nobody should be judjing ..but going by the xray in his last vid it looks like he had a level one discectomy and pin..He is able to stand, walk and drive so his injury isnt as bad as made out.Yes i know hes in pain but pain is manageable to the point where you get used to it .

I hope lots and lots of potential military recruits see this and not have any delusions about what this documented historical truth from way back in the Vietnam era to right now says plainly about what care one should realistically expect from their government once they have been thanked, paraded then discharged from their services. By all means, sign up and go "protect and preserve 'freedom' (lol..hope they dont really believe that part)..but dont you dare get broken in the process.

Why the f release a stupid trailer? It's not like vice is going to release a summer blockbuster!

A lot of this could be solved if they simply allowed vets to go through private doctors and clinics like the rest of us. Give them insurance and allow them to find their own doctors, instead of having to go through the bureaucratic mess that is the VA. This could be improved through a type of Medicare expansion.
