Introduction to coordinate plane quadrants. A coordinate plane is created when two perpendicular lines cross.
The coordinate plane is divided into four quadrants.
The quadrants are numbered 1 through four if you move in a
counterclockwise fashion.
Ordered pairs of points can be plotted on a coordinate plane.
The first number of ordered pairs is the x-axis, and the second number is the y-axis value.
The x-axis describes the horizontal movement and the y-axis describes the vertical movement.
