I .. don't think this is going to take off. The "thrill" of RB was the illusion that your fingers were going up and down a fret to MAKE the notes. Just.. grabbing a chord.. the same finger combo, no matter the music.. takes it backwards from an "I'M DOING THIS!" standpoint. I'm pretty sure this will be DOA.

Literally all you had to do was put the original note highway in a VR environment and this would've been dope. People like GH and Rockband because of the gameplay, not because they want to pretend they're a rock star. Changing up the controls when you could just further develop the proven one is just stupid.

Just make a game where people can meet up and play real instruments already. And make it so you can quest and complete challenges and teach musical skill and technique. If it was done correctly it would be amazing and needed. And make it so you can learn with programmed drum and bass tracks if your playing a real guitar, or vice versa. .*.

Wow am I glad I saw this before I ordered - was a HUGE fan of everything Guitar Hero and Rock Band, owned the Drum Rocker in the past (amazing) and figured I'd finally get RBVR as I've had a Rift since launch. Had no idea this ISN'T Rockband, it's some different game with the RB name on it. Nothing but chords, are you serious? If I want classic mode I'll just play on my TV, why they'd change the amazing formula just for VR is beyond me - sorry but pass.

Do we really need to play Beast and the Harlot, When You Were Young, Hangar 18, Everlong, Eye of the Tiger, Go Your Own Way, I Wanna Be Sedated, Livin' On a Prayer, The Middle, Panama, We Got the Beat and Through the Fire and Flames again? Seriously...what the fuck is wrong with these people? And these are just the songs that we've seen TWICE already in previous games, there's a whole bunch of other songs that have also been in another GH/RB game. What is with GH/RB reusing so any damn songs all the time? I'm surprised this game doesn't have Ace of Spades for the 4th time. Bring out stuff we haven't played before like Cacophony, Symphony X, Overkill, Black Stone Cherry, BTO...what about songs like Separate Ways by Journey, Burn in Hell by Twisted Sister, Hotter Than Hell by Kiss, Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC, High and Dry by Def Leppard, Colossal by Wolfmother, Paradise City by Guns N' Roses, In My Darkest Hour by Megadeth, Children of the Damned by Iron Maiden, Finding My Way by Rush, etc...there's still so many great songs to choose from. Yet they keep rehashing the same shit. If I hear Beast and the Harlot one more time I might explode.

Warriors of Rock had the right idea, that setlist was a very solid 8.5/10 in my opinion (it'll never be perfect for anyone because it has to try to cater to everyone). Don't even get me started on how terrible Guitar Hero Live's setlist was.
