I love doing this w my curly hair but I do it a lil differently-first I go in w my thick hair rubber band to crest the ponytail, then w a regular rubber band I tie it the way she did. But, instead of just twisting all the remaining hair in one direction, i split the remaining hair in two parts then wrap it around in opposite sectipns. I tie it w a rubber band and then I make some adjustments and tie it w another rubber band. I LOVE the way I do it bc it looks super good and it is rly rly good for sports bc it keeps ur hair in place-lmk if anyone tries it!!
