I'm the only person in my household besides my cat, but of my friends who visit, my cat has clear preferences. One of my DnD friends consistently plays with my cat when he's over, and whenever he calls on the phone she will come listen to his voice, and when he leaves, she looks for him and sulks.

My cat has choosen me, no doubt! He follows EVERYWHERE... even to the bathroom 😂

My cat became very close to my dad when he was dying from cancer. It's like he knew what my dad was going through and wanted to show him some love in his final days. He always slept on his bed too.

My Sam was found wandering with his brother as a kitten ...
His mom probably died ..
He defended his brother and trusted no one in the shelter .
They said it would be very difficult to find him a home ...
So we adopted him and he thinks I'm his mom ...
Ten years old now he meows at me in a kitten voice and sucks on my clothes .
He loves my husband too, but there's only one mom !

I cat-sit for my sister's cats. I don't think I'm their favorite, but I'm way up on their list. If I go over to visit, they run over to me. They are way up on my list too.😉

My cat did when I was a kid. I was the first person she saw and I fed her bottles. ❤ She was a good friend.

The mama cat of our strays (we discovered she gave birth to her litter under our deck) adopted me 3 days before I had to put my bulldog down. She just started coming downstairs to my bedroom and sleeping with me; she just knew something was coming and knew I'd need her comfort. Years later, she's elderly now, and still follows me everywhere. She's totally deaf and needs my comfort at times. I'm happy to return the care and be the blessing to her that she was to me.

I do everything for all our kitties (feeding, cleaning, trimming claws, grooming, playing with toys) and they all run to my husband. He regularly sits with three to four cats on his lap from when he gets home from work till when he goes to bed, and of course they follow him to bed. 🙄 I have six cats each time holding out hope that one will choose my lap

I don’t have a cat but a friend’s cat has chosen me as her person, I give her love and pets and I talk to her, she always purrs when she sees me and head bumps me or rubs against my arm, I seriously love her she is the sweetest thing.

My Mom got attached to a feral kitten we rescued in our front yard.

Our cat gives my husband the most love—possibly because when he (kitty) met me, I was fresh out of hip surgery and had to use a walker to get around. It freaked him out, and he’s never quite recovered. 😅

I think it depends on their love language! My husband works from home so our cat who values quality time always picks him, while his brother values words of affirmation/acts of service and loves me more because I respond to his meows/requests. It’s so sweet and cool to see

We have 9 cats and Oliver chose me for sure. As a kitten he would hop on my lap and sleep, or sit on my shoulder like a parrot. Now he makes sure I return home safe after work or shopping and never leave him. He is vigilant and always greets me at the driveway.

I was my cat's favorite from the very beginning. My mom and I adopted her and from her first days she'd cling to me for comfort. I now have her for over 6 years, in that time I moved from home tonlive with a close friend, and then moved again to live on my own. Now it's just me and her in our apartment, and our bond just keeps getting stronger

The lady I adopted my boy from was very sweet to him. Now my lil kitty keeps choosing my female roomate, and she hates cats but the lil guy just doesn’t understand it yet. I love kitties 😊
