Let me add that Ross Young has been largely accurate and he's recently changed his tune on the Z Fold 7 SE existing. He know says it's a Tri-Fold device coming 2026, not another SE which is a bit odd considering the Q7M device. It also serves to underscore how much this stuff is in motion and how little we truly know right now.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will largely resemble the Z Fold 6 SE; therefore, an upgrade is unlikely unless significant camera improvements are implemented. Minor enhancements and a slightly faster processor do not warrant the anticipated price increase. Samsung's apparent focus on assisting Apple with their foldable phone launch suggests that I will likely purchase a OnePlus Open 2 instead.

As kind of an aside, how are you enjoying your Fold 6 right now? Part of me wants a smaller phone than my 24U but I love the battery life it has and the width is very comfortable for me. Assuming the Fold 7 will be more like the 6 SE, think it would be better to wait for that one?

Absolutely agree, tracking rumours 6 - 7 months before the launch is just good for entertainment for the boring period before the device really comes up but the value of this is really only fun, not "knowledge". The leaks will make sense from May on, I guess, then it would be based on what is produced, not what is discussed...

Samsung is experiencing record low sales with their foldable line. The next Z Fold 7 will essentially be the Z fold 6 SE and bring Samsung back on the top of the foldable world.

This is a great take. Before I got the fold 6 I was hyped in the Flip since there was so many confirmations that the outer screen was almost 4" and battery 4500mah. Pfft

Happy I got the fold 6.

I love the Z fold but its over at least in 2025 for Samsung with Oneplus Open 2 coming out. If oneplus offers the Oppo pen for purchase and give solid trade offers for z fold owners its game over until July 2025. Its a make it or break it year for Samsung foldables. I know im upgrading to open open 2 if i can buy the oppo pen with the phone and not have to chase it from 3rd party sites for an arm and a leg

I'm patiently waiting but plan to upgrade from my Fold 5 to the Z Fold 7. The rumored wider outer screen and upgraded cameras are enough of a change to warrant giving Sammy more money imo but if the Fold 7 ends up a Fold 6 replica, I'll grab the S25 Ultra hopefully at a discounted price by then

Greetings from Johnson City...Are you able to do a full comparison between the Z Fold 6 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold please? I currently have the Z Fold 6 as my work device and an iPhone 16 Pro as my personal device... Really like the Fold but went to 2 local best buys to try out the Pixel and neither had the fold variant... One Ui 7 looks like it's going to bring more iPhone and Pixel like animations to I'm tempted to see how that turns out before possibly trading in for the 9 pro fold... Bigger inside screen and a more apple like experience would be nice.. also really like the design of the Pixel... Not sure about the UI though.. battery life is also a pretty big thing... Surprisingly the Z Fold 6 isn't that much worse than the s24 ultra in that regard
