Jaleel did not get the recognition he deserved for playing that nerdy very funny character. They came up with similar shows like Ugly Betty to name a few, and look at the recognition it got America Ferreira from acting the same character as Jaleel White.

I knew it... I knew if Steve Urkel wasn't cast in the show then Family Matters would have been a short lived sitcoms by first season cancellation

That's good Bryton gave an update on what happened behind the scene. I always loved FM and I wish it was on Netflix. I'm so glad I'm from a generation where sitcoms were on primetime tv. I've stopped watching YR but it was good to see him still on the show. Good to see him healthy and happy. The need to do a E! Story behind the scenes of Family Matters.
