I really agree with when you said that the movies etc put an image into your head. I am considering making my own dress with different colours and hand made flowers. I know that I can't get this at a shop. I also cant have a shop assistant tell me that a white dress is better because I know for a fact that I will get it stained in the first 5 mins of wearing it. I always get stains while wearing white clothes, and cannot imagine it being different if it was a wedding dress. I have a feeling also that if the dress is $1000 its not really worth that kuch because its made by mass production.
