I've been told my entire life that adding the word "wedding" to anything makes it cost a premium. So when I bought my wedding dress it was technically a white Quinceanera dress. It was STUNNING; about a year after my wedding, Pippa Middleton wore what was basically a similar (but bajillion dollars more expensive) version of what I had. Obviously she has no idea I exist! Lol. But my point is that is was very classy-looking, and mine was like $79.

As someone who actually bought their wedding dress on Amazon for around $100, and completely loved it ( I actually thought the first dress was mine at first because it's very similar, but mine was a little different). I totally got such a kick out of this video. It's definitely possible to find a good cheap wedding dress online, you just need to do some research on it first. Reading reviews definitely helped me a lot.

When we Indians get married, 90% of the time the lehengas that the brides wear are a beautiful red colour and they are STUNNING so you're completely right about the deep red gowns and honestly i think more people should start wearing them.🥰


Edit: I'm only talking about where I'm from and the weddings I've been to and not the whole of India. India is a beautiful diverse country with so many cultures and all of them are equally beautiful:)

I bought a wedding dress from David's Bridal for $99 - might have been a bridesmaid dress but I was so obsessed with wanting a pale blue dress that I so don't care. After all the years of watching Say Yes to the Dress, I was honestly stunned when I saw the dress online, made the appointment at the store...and then it was what I imagined. So I had to make it a real appointment with more typical dresses but that moment came with the blue dress.

When my husband and I got married we went to this beautiful chapel and it was just the two of us because my family didn’t approve of my husband being black and so they refused to help pay for anything and back then we didn’t have much so I never got a wedding dress. "I didn't think of silky wedding dresses" My mum actually got married in a wedding dress made out of raw silk, my grandpa, her father-in-law, actually made it for her. She recently showed it to me, he did such a good job - I wish I could wear it too but the fabric shows every nook and cranny and crumbles as soon as you look at it :D she looked bomb in it though, she's 5'11 and was serving draped 80s greek goddess :)
