I used to put my cold beer in a tankard then put the straw through the hole in the mug into the beer, it also helped keep it cold I was 16 y/o. I learned a lot of great lessons by my very bad decisions. I learned what not to do. Then as an officer I knew some very good tricks due to my youth. Those mistakes taught me how to deal with impaired drivers. Been there done that. I gave some of the under aged drivers a ride home to deal with parents. I've also made military personnel stay in their dorms, saying if your car moves you will be charged accordingly. I ran into those two airmen 5 years later in the chow line, they said you don't know what you did for us, you saved our careers. I told them I know, because I was in their shoes before. It felt good knowing I helped them. If I charged them both they would have gotten dishonorable discharges and thrown out of the military! No way to ever buy a gun or get good jobs. You are welcome!
