Change the gear oil.
After changing the engine oil, deal with the gear oil. Locate the gearbox near the propeller.

Stabilize your fuel.
Winter is rough on your fuel. The harsh weather turns fuel gummy.

Fog your Engine

So just leave the water in the cooling system?

Motor up to drain the water? That doesn’t make sense 🤔

But mine is a 2 stroke. No oil to change.

Could you be any more vague or to be more exact? Could you be any more wrong? I'm not going to waste my time going through step by step of what is supposed to be done but at the very least you do not leave the engine trimmed up for the winter because the gear case will hold water and freeze and crack. And yes it's called a gear case, not a gear box. You should do everyone a favor and take this video down because it is nothing but misinformation. And yes I do have the right to say this as a DUAL Mercury MASTER certified technician
