Winterizing Evinrude E-TEC outboard engine EASY instructions

Thanks so much for sharing this video. Last year I paid $200 to have this done. I couldn’t find a video with my type of throttle console. They all had a button on the side of the throttle lever. I didn’t receive an owners manual with my engine so I was in the dark about the procedure. I followed your video and all went well. Thx

Nice video and great instructions! Gonna do my first winterizing tomorrow. Evinrude e-tec 50 hp -2016. Previous owner never done it, just left motor on and took out fuel hose, untill motor stopped. But I Will winterize because it seems best. I have put XPS stabilizer in gasoline already. Wish me luck.

excellent video but shouldn't the fuel stabilizer be added before the winterizeation so the fuel inside injectors won't gum up?

After winterizing...and if storing boat in water over winter...do you raise the prop/motor out of the water or do you keep it in the water?

What does the BRP logo mean on the motor? Is Evinrude owned by them?

When I put it in high idle and start, all 4 lights go off 4, 3, 2, 1 and stay out. They are not lit up as I see in every winterising demo video. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Hi, I got an Evinrude e-tec 30 HK (new motor, just one season). I tried to winterize it yesterday but the four lamps didn't light up. I just got the oli lamp indicating that there was low oil. Anyone know what's the problem?

Last time I done this, the boat mechanic had to turn it off via his computer. Is there another way to turn it off.

When I ran the winterization program om my E-tec 50 only the two middle lamps was lit up. Else the procedure seemed to work accoringly to the video. Any idea why the Low Oil and No Oil lamps didn't lit up? Can I assume the winterization is OK anyway? The motor worked as in any winterization video in the three steps and shut down after finalizing step three.

I've heard the fuel stabilizer should already be in the gas prior to winterizing. Otherwise, excellent video. Thanks for doing this.
