I’m an interpreter. I learn medical terminology from this channel a lot. The explanations combined with text and pictures are very professional, clear, and easy to understand. Thank you very much!

I agree.. sometimes its more better not have background music with the video. It makes it just a disturbance to mind and ears!

Im a type 2 diabetic and I had ketoacidosis once and it is nothing to mess around with, its vicious! It started out with me just feeling like I was coming down with something only it was weird because I started feeling worse and worse rapidly but Im the type who doesnt want to alert anyone Im not feeling well so then I started getting extremely week and vomited over and over til I was throwing up that nasty bile and I was heaving so hard that I literally felt something tear inside and then I finally called my mom to rush me to the hospital. Once there they registered my blood sugar which was almost at 900😳 and told me I was in Ketoacidosis. I spent a week in the hospital, they said my kidney was damaged a little bit but would heal itself. I was super pale and so weak that my roommate, an elder lady told me she really thought that I was going to be with Jesus! After I was home from the hospital it took about 3 months before I started to feel somewhat normal again. I have a cousin who died of ketoacidosis in his sleep which is very sad. He was in his early 30's.

I’ve had countless Doctors explain how Insulin and Diabetes work and I could never understand them. She has just explained it perfectly and finally I understand

The best explanation I've heard. After searching and reading for hours, I found this channel which explains the difference between T1 and T2 so succinctly and clearly in just 3.27 minutes. I subscribed immediately.

this is why the sensors should be as cheap as possible to every single diabetic of both types. the alarms, while a pain for noise level, gave me peace of mind when i slept. they would wake me up when i'd drop into the low 3's, before i realised what was happening.

Not sure if common enough to be on the list but when your pee has an off smell. Time to check your glucose

I was recently told that I have it. The only sign I had was feeling tired but only at night just before I went to bed or had a busy day at work. Great video.
