My name is Sara welcome to my channel Knitting for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to knit these super easy newborn baby booties, socks or shoes. These baby booties are very easy to knit making them ideal for beginners. You can easily make these knit baby booties for newborns just use 3mm knitting needles and for 3-6 months use a 4.5mm knitting needle. I used about 15 grams of baby yarn #3 for each bootie.

Thank you for watching and most importantly THANK YOU for your support always.

At 9”41 you said there should be 11 stitches left and I had to redo it 5 times because I had 12 left each time. And at last when I paused the video I realized you had 12! Please make sure you are counting your stitches right ! Wasted so much time and caused so much frustration!

Hi! I typically love your tutorials and this was no exception. I did try making them but the toe cap is just too short. The instructions are very easy to follow, but cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong. Will use another one of your patterns. Thanks!

Old way of knitting by holding yarn in right hand much easier. Hard to follow knitting with yr hand in front.

I love your videos. I am planning on making a hat and would love to make these booties. I am finishing up a blanket know. My issue is that I learned a different method for knitting. I don’t know the difference or what your method is called but the end result seems to me the same.
My question is how do I do that first stitch coming in from the back. I can’t even really tell what you are doing cause it’s such a different method. Is it important that I do that? Or can I just knit a regular stitch?

Sara if I want to make these booties for 12 month baby how many stitches do I need to start with?

On row 12, are you knitting every stitch for those 13 stitches? because you alternate going from the front to the back for every stitch, are you knitting one then knitting the next from behind? it's really confusing me and after hours of knitting I don't want to abandon what I've done so far. Please can you clarify

Hello, thank you so much for the tutorial! I'm just trying to follow it, but after the first 11 rows my length is only just over 1 inch rather than 2 like yours. Can I ask what type of wool you used? Do you also know the length of the 38 cast on stitches? I'm wondering if I could try to amend the pattern somehow to suit my wool as it's so pretty!
