Of course, it is a party cruise. That is precisely what 3 and 4 day sailings are all about. If you don't want that atmosphere, then you need to go on at least a 7 or 8 day cruise or longer.

I dont mind the party vibe. I dont stay up till 1am and those people sleep in late so it is easy to avoid them. I enjoy the pool early and head out of there by noon. It is a balance. I hope Royal makes a ton of money booking this ship up so they can keep other ship prices down. I am excited to go on Utopia but picked a slower week in December for just this reason.

Hey guys Utopia of the seas was marketed as a party ship, so it would behoove those passengers to book a cruise ship that’s more to their liking. Remember you can’t please everyone, fortunately with 28 ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet, I’m sure there’s a ship for most.

I love that it’s a party ship. There’s enough for family and kids and should be something for adults. I wish they had an adults only ship. For me that’s a huge positive

You chose to sit out there?? You didn’t know it was hot? Why not tell the wait staff you want to go inside?

The last dislike about the party vibe is exactly what Royal Caribbean needed. There are plenty of other ships and cruises catered to kids. This is great if its going to be more like Virgin voyages ships. There are plenty of kids areas on the ship that parents can keep the kids away from party goers if they want. I'm bringing 35 adults with me in January on this ship and we are all ready to have some fun and party 🎉😊

I think RC is purposely marketing this as a party ship and it's not "meant" to attract familes right now. Eventually when they rotate Utopia into longer itineraries, all those parties etc will probably be added to the Oasis class ships completing weekend itineraries. They want to see if the demographic they are aiming for will show up and positively respond.

No thanks, I’ll stick with Celebrity, WAY less kids

That's the theme of the ship is a party ship, and royal has a whole of variety of ships for everyone to choose

So Royal had no choice in removing the starboard side casino entrance and the Vitality Cafe. During mid build for the whole green initiative the ships fueling system had to be changed over from the old Oasis class way of fuel to the new liquid natural gas. To make that happen the tank has to be vertical not horizontal like the old designs and they had to remove a few things, on the list of Vitality Cafe was the least money generating item so that's why it was removed and they had no choice for the casino entrance on the starboard side because that's where the tank sits. Due to the LNG tank they also had a rearrange some of the crew cabins so they are now throughout different levels of the ship

I’m excited that Royal finally has a big ship not geared towards kids!

We are on Utopia in October. Love all three major lines for different reasons. This "party-ship" is an RCL foray into the market previously dominated by Carnival. Good marketing, I think. Coming out so soon after Icon, it allows those who don't want to mortgage the house for a longer cruise to experience the new ship taste. We are two older couples, experienced cruisers. We've long learned to enjoy partying even if we don't participate. We like watching and being part of the atmosphere (sans drunks of course). Looking forward to Utopia and Norwegian's Aqua next year. Enjoyed your review guys.

Not for us. Don't want a party atmosphere and don't want that many kids.

This kind of sucks, I actually did not know it was a party ship because we have never done a cruise before. We have limited free time so I thought 5 days 4 nights was perfect for our family summer trip. M6 kids are 15 and 16, I was really focused on utopia because allure seemed a little outdated

Use either binder clips or towel clips will help with this.

My wife booked this for our first cruise ever and we live on a quiet island so I'm excited to add the party vibe with higher quality food and entertainment to my pros list. Definitely will bring my sleep mask.

Lol u guys didnt like the party scene and jojo said it wasnt enough partying 😂
As shiplife says the 4 days cruises seem to be booze cruise oriented
Love the contrast between all of the reviews from different perspectives!l though, it gives a full rounded udnerstanding of the ships
