Hi Dr. Melissa! Your information is invaluable. In my pre-teen and teenage years, I had a ton of issues that my doctors tried to patch with birth control. I started my period at 10, have had acne since my teen years, developed several ovarian cysts in high school, and even had a fibroadenoma removed from my breast at 19. I was taking 2g of fish oil daily (had 1000 mg of EPA and DHA) not realizing it was outcompeting the omega 6 I was ingesting! Taking 3 EPO softgels daily really helped balance the ratios out and calm my dry itching skin.
