My grandma taught the entire family this song. It has become tradition to sing "Lang zal ze leva" after we sing Happy Birthday. We even throw in a "Hip, Hip. Hurray! Hip, hip. Hurray! Hip, hip. Hurray!" at the end after we're finished. Good times. Love you Grandma; hope you're doing well up there.

In Germany there is the same Song but its "hoch sollst du leben, hoch sollst du leben, drei mal hoch! Hoch! Hoch! Hoch!" And while we shout the three times hoch! We take the birthday kids chair with the birthday kid sitting on it and hold it up in the air 3 times, since hoch means high, to celebrate
