Super excited you enjoy Northanger Abbey, it's on my TBR for next month!

I'm rereading Wives and Daughters (on audiobook) for the first time in nearly ten years and adoring it. It is just so brilliant!

I watched the miniseries of Wives and Daughters just last month and loved it. The book is now on my TBR!

I keep thinking I should pick up classics more again, but so many other books I want to read as well. Time is an issue here :(

I just started reading Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell and I'm enjoying it so far. I also have Wives and Daughters but opted for Cranford first because it is significantly shorter 😅

Okay, well I guess I need to read Wives and Daughters. Or maybe some classics at all? Yeah? Good plan, lol. I haven't read one in a time.

Northanger Abbey is my second favorite Austen novel (first being Sense and Sensibility) :). I really love the Wives and Daughters mini series too! In the show, I ended up liking Cynthia by the end but still had massive issues with Claire. I own the book but am attempting to read Gaskell's novels in publication order so that will be the last one I get to but I am curious to see if I feel the same way about each character in the book. Every time someone does a great review of the book it is very hard for me not to say "oh well I'll just nix this project and jump to that one next" lol. Have you read North and South by her? That was my first Gaskell and the one that inspired me to go back and read her books in publication order and it is tied with Sense and Sensibility for my favorite book ever. The mini series adaptation is amazing too and probably my favorite mini series 😀.
