Yes, while in posession it migjt have been be easy for Pique, Mascherano, Puyol etc. But as someone who watched many Barca-games in their prime I often shit my pants when opponents suddenly had 3v2 or 2v2 situations on the counter. For me Pique was brilliant in these situations. Always calm, always dirty enough and tall enough to intercept many long balls.
