Travel inside a sinkhole

I wonder, if a sink hole appears under your house, can you claim ownership? It would make for a sick as s man cave with a pool and everything

That's not a sinkhole, that's a tourist attraction. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a McDonalds down there.

They're also called cenotes, they're all over florida and the yucatan. I dove in some this summer...

I've been in there several times diving, great place to get a feel for cave diving for the average person since it's considered open water diving. At least it was when I was there.

we drilled into salt water river about 2000 ft. down flowing from the Atlantic to the Gulf of Mexico. We logged the well . the river was about 25 FT deep but the width was off the chart.

Isn't it just awesome how something notorious for caving in is an immersive tourist attraction...

Also, how about testing the solidity of the he ground underneath before building on it... These don't form overnight.
