As a presenter you take the envelope you're given and announce the winner. Why would you think Twice? it's the Oscar's. in this case, clearly it didn't make sense which is why Warren didn't want to say it but you can't blame them. Imagine the pressure and nerves in that moment. I probably wouldn't know what to say either if I was confused

It's so easy in hindsight to say that Warren Beatty should have asked for help.
My thoughts: For one thing, it seems that he was trying to show Faye Dunaway what was happening, but she misread the card and just saw the name of the movie on there. Also, when you're in the moment, you don't have the ability of hindsight. If he knew then what he knows now, obviously I'm assuming he would have asked for help. I think everyone involved handled it well, including Kimmel, Warren Beatty, and the cast/crew of both La La Land and Moonlight.

It would have been better if OJ Made In America was the mistake and Fire At Sea won.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I believe they should give it back to La La Land. If only for the fact that it's not the cast's fault someone was not paying attention to what they were reading on the cue card/teleprompter. Give it back to La La Land & nominate Moonlight again next year. Moonlight IS a great movie, but this is about doing what is right. The time to say "AW, SHIT!!!!" is when you are reading the name of the winning movie in the first place, not when the cast of La La Land is already up giving their acceptance speeches. For the record, I DO feel that Moonlight should have won, & not the movie that has jammed the theater that I work at for the past 2 months, but I am just saying that I don't feel that is right to get people's hopes up, have them go on stage, give their acceptance speeches, & only then realize you read the wrong movie title, that's all.
