We Have To Talk About The NEW CFMOTO 500SR

CFMOTO recently unveiled their new inline four cylinder 500SR Voom which seems like a direct shot at the Kawasaki ZX4RR. It's a 78HP bike with a relatively light curb weight ant with it's retro styling it's calling back to the early 90s. If it sticks to the CFMOTO pattern, they'll under charge and over deliver. This is a company that the rest of the motorcycle industry needs to pay attention to.

I own a 2023 CFMoto 450ss. It’s my first bike. Sometimes I’ll just go in my garage just to look at it because it’s that cool looking.

First of all Z650rs is overpriced. Looks nice but shouldn't be over 8k. Cfmoto is just going to get bigger. New riders are going to get a 300nk/450nk/450ss as a beginner bike have a good experience and stay in the cfmoto ecosystem. The Big 4 need to open their eyes

Enfield also knows the "build it cool looking and affordable" I understand it's working well for them hehe

I can't believe CF Moto is the first to come up with those intake-style halos on a bike.

I was certainly skeptical in 2022 when I bought my first CFMOTO. After two years of ownership, I'm convinced. CFMOTO is here to stay and its market share will increase for the reasons you stated in your video. CFMOTO makes an excellent product at a value price. There will be other CFMOTOS in my future.

I picked up an 800nk for me and a 300nk for my wife a couple weeks ago. One of the best purchases ive made. Less then 13k for 2 bikes, both are a blast to ride and seem as well put together as any of my japanese bikes have been.

CFMOTO from the looks of it is taking shots to the bow of the Big 4. Between the 500SR and 675SR-R there's one company they seem to have direct aim at, Kawasaki. Love the format by the way. Sometimes it's nice to have a sit down chat.

As someone looking in to grabbing a smaller displacement "fun bike" the Zx4-RR is extremely attractive...but that price is painful. If the 500SR sits at a nicer price point, I'd be disgustingly tempted to pick one up. (Assuming they even make it to the US)

You hit the nail on the head. Let’s be realistic. The A2 restriction much as I loathe the idea of restrictions in general is well thought out. 48 hp is more than enough to get a bike up to speed and break every speed limit in the country.

The Honda 500 CC parallel twin engine is widely panned as one of the least exciting engines available in the small displacement market. As the owner of a CB 500 X I can attest that that statement is 100% accurate. Regardless, even with my 300 pound when fully geared ass on it, the bike easily hits 90 miles an hour according to the GPS.

As riders we don’t actually need 100+ horsepower bikes. I own three of them, but I don’t kid myself that those bikes need 100 hp. Although it certainly does help the Goldwing get out of its own way at 900 pounds.

For the majority of riders, just looking to get out on two wheels and have a good time with a bike that looks nice and has a reasonable degree of modern technology, the current offerings from the big four are actually pretty awful.

Seriously why do I need to pay $15, 000 to get into a bike with cruise control?

The CLX 700 has cruise standard and you can buy last year‘s model all day long for 4500 bucks (5500 bucks out the door with all the dealer fees)

I’m an old man so I could give a shit about phone integration, but I understand that people under the age of 50 do care about that kind of thing and all of CF Moto lineup offers it .

Were I in the market for a new bike I have a really hard time, not walking into the nearest CF Moto dealership and giving them my money.

Spite, I bought a new CF Moto 650 Adventura two years ago. I have rolled up 25K miles on it. I'm on my third chain, 2nd set of sprockets, and my 3rd set of tires. It's a Timex.

I am on my second CFMoto bike. The problem I have with CFMOTO is that as soon as I get a cool bike they bring out something cooler 😮 Looks like I will need to stay with them for a while now.

new fun news segments woo! i like. motorcycle gossip is always fun.

so many people looked at the CF Moto papio design and begged for a full size version of it and CFMoto listened!

they're listening to their consumers they're making those changes they're building the things that people want and they're not resting on their reputation to sell their motorcycles they're building cool shit and selling it because it's cool.

$10k is an important price point. anybody with a job can wrangle up $10k without their wife getting too mad.

On the speed question I assume the average motorcycle owner isn’t really interested in massive speeding tickets or running from the police. “Oh no! My bike can only go 110 MPH!!”
