Unboxing: Nikon D600

In this video I do an unboxing of the Nikon D600 DSLR. With a 24 megapixel full frame sensor, 1080p HD video with microphone and headphone jacks along with uncompressed HDMI out, 3.2 inch 921,000 dot screen and much more this looks to be one of the most impressive camera launches of the year.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah now that you mention it it's not the best looking shot ever. I rarely change aperture while filming, it's something I need to get better about.

Really tough question. For me I prefer the Nexus 7 but the iPad has a lot of advantages as well.

Doesn't bother me personally, takes two seconds to jump out of live view, change aperture and jump back in. Or you can use an older lens with an aperture ring which works fine in live view.

As far as full frame DSLRs go yep with the exception of older models like the 5D MKII.

Used a slider! I used it for the second shot in the video as well except for the zoom in shot I just spun the slider around.

A Blue Yeti or Zoom H1 depending on the video. Got links to all my gear in the description if you're ever curious.

Some do but as far as full frame cameras only the Sony A99 does 1080p at 60fps as far as I know.

Depends on the product. This is something I bought with my own money, been eyeing a higher end camera for over a year now and when this was announced it was exactly what I was waiting for. I wish Nikon would send me things like this for free lol.

It'll probably be a little while. Got the iPhone 5 tomorrow which will take up an entire week.

Mostly the 40mm 2.8 macro lens, occasionally the 50mm 1.8.

Honestly Nikon and Canon are so similar it's more of a preference thing. I have Nikon gear and that's what I'm used to.

I used the D3100 for a year and a half and a D3200 for the last six months or so.

I thought about it but decided to go with the D600. As for glass, absolutely! Now that I have a decent body I'll be investing in some good lenses...once my back account recovers anyway haha.

This is a bit overkill to start a channel with I think. Check out the D3200.
