I absolutely love Sarah. The way she talks and laughs, I could watch her for hours.

QI got me through the Covid era and remains one of my favorite shows, though it is sometimes tricky to get in the US.

Sarah Millican has one of the most delightful, genuine laughs. It's like the antithesis to Jimmy Carr.

I would love to see Daliso and Cariad together on a series of TASKMASTER. They look like they'd have so much fun!

controversial opinion: i think i may prefer sandy slightly to stephen fry presenting this show.. they were big shoes to fill but she's knocked it out of the park imo :)

Daliso’s face when Rob tells him “this is why you’re single” 🤣🤣🤣

It’s not that it’s the ‘funniest show ever’, it’s that you witness brains working, unlike most TV.

Ah the innuendo section, I knew you would slip in the rear end.

ftr Sandi was talking about aurochs but Daliso thought it was oryx (antelopes which are more closely related to cows than deer, as it happens)

"You're gonna have one later, and it's gonna be decent."

I remember a German fella that would whole heartedly disagree with Daliso's last comment 17:54

Who else had to pause the video and Google pictures of Tom Cruise turning into Sandi?

6:22 That is a group of men done up in drag.
7:20 Apparently, it's width, not length that matters.
8:00 Watch the movie "Cannibal Holocaust" to see this.
15:20 I have a landline to ring my mobile when I forget where I put it.

16:25 Innuendo is the Italian word for suppository.

14:00 What do I know about Nellie Bly?

She piped her eye.
She made out with Frankie's Johnny.
Her husband's name was "Captain". Captain and Tenellie!

That should totally be an advertising campaign:
Weetabix, you know you are going to have a poo later, and it's going to be decent.

The answer to question 1 "What can also be used to deliver mail in Tonga?" Tin Can. Hence the name Tin Can Mail.

The Eland is not a kind of cow. Is is distantly related but is classified as a cow-like antelope. Sorry Sandy.

OK, I'm going to say it... The women posing under the motto for the Ladies Christian Temperance Movement probably would only attract the attention of liquor drinkers...

The photo is definitely Victorian, with stiff upright postures and stern expressions. Perhaps this is why, these days, we're encouraged to smile when we're being photographed... someone discovered how much nicer pictures were when the subjects looked relaxed and happy. Back when photography was fairly new and novel, it was treated as a substitute for having a portrait painted, hence the formal poses and expressions. However, no-one at the time either realised or understood the fundamental difference between having a photo taken and a portrait painted. The painter may not paint the sitter exactly as they are: the painter's technique will have an effect, as will their desire to give a good portrayal. a Photograph will simply capture everything, good and bad, with no adjstment.

It would have been very interesting to see how Oliver Cromwell would have reacted, had photography been around when he lived. He is famously alleged to have said, when sitting for a painting, that he wanted to be painted 'warts and all'. Would he have been so willing to have his photograph taken, knowing that's exactly what he'd get, I wonder?
