I'm English, married to a German and have lived in Germany for over 40 years.
Every time there is an international football competition, I hear from my neighbours that Germany was robbed in 1966!
Also, I once left a towel on my garden sun longer. My teenage daughter moved it and sat down

I said "As a half German , you should know that when a towel is on a seat, it's reserved"
To which my German husband replied"As a half English person, she doesn't give a damn'"😂
