I made this video for our website to provide some tips and tricks on how to use the New Folding Firebox Nano. I talk about ways to control the heat output and when to use the Nano with the Fire-Grate in its up position and why. I also tell you how to prevent corrosion by wiping a light coat of any kind of food oil or fat inside and out after each use.

I really like that case too and I'm also hoping that's what comes with our kickstarter orders. That would address my concerns about those nano wires snagging on and trashing my other gear. Getting excited for a September delivery!

Correct, a Titanium Nano would not have the same corrosion potential

Yeah, that's what you would expect from any wood burning stainless steel stove.
The Firebox is made of thick 18gauge material. Keep it oiled and dry and it will last and last.

I've bought one of these great little stoves. They are very well made and a lot of thought has gone into the clever design. Wether you're into prepping or just backpacking a stove like this is perfect as it's so small and light and works so well - mine now goes everywhere with me. Not the cheapest but should last years and well worth the money.

What happens when the stick gets too short to touch the ground but not short enough to fit in the stove? Wont it just fall out?

Recently got a full size fire box and am very impressed with the design and build quality. Can't wait to get the Nano as well.

Yeah iv noticed that my 5" firebox does got a little rust here and there sadly. Most noticeable is the fire grate it gets the hottest. Id imagine the titanium nano if you make It available would not suffer from corrosion?

I will dig a soup can size pit in the ground underneath. Maybe even line it with a can. Then burn openly with no grate and trap the coals. It should work well.
