Got my Nano gen 2 today!! It's now in my bug out bag in my car nestled with my Pocket Rocket 2! I believe in having a cannister stove as well as a biofuel stove in the same bag and the Nano fit the bill perfect! Takes up almost zero space!!!

Thanks for the review Luke. I've had my Gen1 since the first production run, since I funded the Kickstarter for it and I've always wondered how other people feel about them. I love mine for sure, it comes with me on every trip.

Oh my gosh, what a fantastic Mass Dump group buy site you passed along. I've just bought this stove package over there. Thanks!

Hey Luke. Nice Review. I've got to say, I've seen some comments on your review and people think the stove is overpriced or they think it's just as simple as 4 sections of metal etc. The thing is...This stove is made with precision, each hole and every angle was thought out and then recreated again into a Gen 2 version. It also will soon have a wind block attachment and esbit plate available. Once people put their hands on this little guy they realize it's more than just metal. The engineering of it is supreme. I've done a few videos with it. I enjoy this stove and I use lots of wood stoves.

My titanium Nano stove will be here tomorrow according to the tracking info. I'm looking forward to having the multiple capabilities this stove provides. Wood is more than plentiful here in Southern Illinois and I already have 2 Trangia alcohol stoves. What my wife isn't going to like is that I'm now interested in getting the Trangia gas burner than is compatible with this stove. One last thing, the titanium model was out of stock when I ordered so I emailed Steve at Firebox to get an idea when they would be back in stock and ship. He responded in less than a day and his ETA was right on the money. I do repeat business with companies with that kind of customer service!

One thing missed, in the review. Is there much of a difference, between gen 1, and gen 2?

Hey Luke I have a friend that has a stove like this, nice, I must say! Like the different fuel options that it can do - now, it's time for me to look into one for myself. Be well and warm back there!

The Swedish fire torch method works great with these. I split a piece down it’s length into quarters and place them in upright. Burns for quite a while so you don’t need to keep feeding it.

Nano is light but if you move up to the full sized Firebox, that weighs a whopping TWO POUNDS.

I used the SS Nano on my kitchen table with a Trangia. Fried eggs and bacon for breakfast on a baby cast iron skillet!
Of course one egg at a time and 1 slice bacon cut in 1/4's. Bacon first THEN the egg.

Hey Luke! Longtime viewer- first post.    I have the Solo Stove as a wood burner - I love the clean gassier burn of that - and also bring the companion trangia-syle alchy stove for early morning or rain.  I find the pairing works great - and I nest them all in a 900ml pot so it's just one bag about 7x5.   I like the engineering of the firebox a lot, but the gassifier wins my vote - and if you're bringing an alcohol stove anyway - you can't beat the all in one.
Winter well!

Please discuss the difference in any warping and clean-up between the two metals.

This is one case where going with Ti doesn't really get you much. you're only saving 2 oz.. I prefer to save the weight in my cook sets and pots where the weight savings really shines. Nice review. I've been thinking about getting one to round out my stove collection.

Thanks for the video. My evernew titanium alcohol burner fits perfectly. I have three of these things and love the titanium version. I wish he made the large in titanium. I realize they are a bit pricey, but it is nice buying American Made.
