There are several companies in UK. That re- manufacture old cars. You can get E-types Aston Martin DB5 Jensen interceptor even Mini coopers and now MGBs along with Cobras and Sunbeam Alpines and Tigers. BUT they all have same drawback. A RIDICULOUS PRICE TAG. That anyone would consider buying a modern car already with superior preformance

the rv8 was the last attempt at keeping these old models alive. most went to japan.. great to see another modern version.

It's a unique car, that's for sure. I would place it separately from the original MGBs, but I wouldn't regard it as a lesser vehicle in any way. Unfortunately, some of the MG car clubs in my locale can be extremely elitist, which is rather off-putting when you consider just how inclusive MGs have been traditionally, given their price points and such. Ah well, I would definitely own one, but I've already got an A in the works, so that'll have to be finished up first!

All these people bitching about the old top gear, you only miss it because of Clarkson and the other two. It's still a great show and any real car enthusiast will see this, I'm just happy we now have two car shows! Top Gear and The Grand Tour and they are both great.
