A lot of us programmer probably started off with Scratch or Python and then later moved on to more professional languages or softwares.
Griffpatch instead stayed with the Scratch community empowering a whole generation of coders.

Most Scratch tutorials treat scratch like a language only for beginners but Griffpatch has shown us that it is much more.

Without Griffpatch's tutorials and projects, I and many others would not be where we are today in programming.

when i was 9, i saw your videos and at the time i was a... basic scratcher. i didn't even have access to cloud yet. but, when i saw your videos, i was in awe how you made such complicated work seem like a piece of cake! And I've Been Off Scratch For a while, and i had to create an alt account so then, i watched your videos again, and followed your tutorials for so long to the point i was scratching to my bedtime! now I'm here again after 5 or so months, and I'm back at it again! thank you for all your hard work in doing this for all of us.

I've started to drift away from your tutorials at around the time that the scrolling mario platformer released, because I don't need you anymore I had figured out scratch and how to make good projects, but this is an awesome idea! :0

I'm an adult and I know how to code in other languages, but I still watch your videos, because having to translate the simple blocks into real code gives me a better understanding of how and why it works, than copying stuff off of Github or Stack Overflow. Thanks for all your help Griffpatch

I found your channel when I was 7 years old. Since then, I have been coding in scratch. I have made many projects including:
