Dr. Mendel has also been my sons doctor. We live 2 hours away from Columbus Ohio and he began seeing my son at the age of 4. My son is now 35 years old <3 We think of Dr. Mendel as a superstar! Can insurances(keystone first for kids 5 yers)cover the gene therapy????

I have Becker's muscular dystrophy it's a slower progression form of DMD but the same exact mutation of the X gene. I wish they could have figured this stuff out 30 years ago. It's probably too late for me to do any therapy at 39. I'm almost at the end of my rope.

Is it effective to cure DMD? My beloved son age 14 years with DMD as well as wheel chair bound, could you please suggest me if we use gene theraphy, my beloved DMD son will walk independenly.pls reply.
