So, I'm 17 years old, about to be a senior in highschool... I turned away from God and I've been struggling with depression, anxiety, and a toxic ex. I didn't want to continue anymore and I felt like no one cared about me. I was about to give up today and this song popped up on my recommended and I turned it on and I just felt the holy spirit enter my bedroom and my soul feels at peace. I'm coming back to Jesus. You WILL get through your battle. God is with you. Don't forget that. I'm still fighting my battle.. but I believe God will save me. He can save you too. Stay strong in this time of darkness. Never forget that God is right there by your side.

I can gladly say that I'm doing much better. God did see me through. It was hard, but I did it with His help. I was reading over some of your comments, and I saw that you believed God doesn't love you. I want to say that just because you're going through something difficult doesn't mean God doesn't love you or he's punishing you. Job is a wonderful book in the Bible that is an example of this. It shows that God sometimes puts us through difficulties as a way to test us. Some of you also said that you feel as if God left you. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, '' The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; Do not be discouraged. '' It's a beautiful verse and a promise to us. Sometimes it's easy to feel as if God has forsaken us when we go through a difficult times in our lives- whether that be a death, mental illness, or abuse. I don't know why God has put you in the situation you are in, but I do know this for certain. God has a reason for it. When we look at our lives currently, it may be very difficult to understand why we may be going through this hardship. But God loves you, I can assure you of that. Jeremiah 29:11 says, '' ' For I know the plans I have for you, ' declares the Lord, ' plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope, and a future. ' '' God is not the enemy. You're going through this hardship for a reason, and you'll only come out of it stronger, closer to God, and better able to understand someone who went through the same things as you. I'll leave you with this last verse that has been a comfort to me. '' The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. '' -Psalm 34:18 God hears you. God sees the pain you're going through. He may not be answering your prays right now, but that doesn't mean he doesn't hear you or see you. He knows what you're going through, and He will do wonderful things with the situation you're in. Last year, I would not have been able to say this, but I'm grateful for what I went through. I'm grateful for all the pain because now I can better understand people who go through the same things. It drew my nearer to God. Just in case someone hasn't told you this recently, I love you, and God loves you also. God be with you all. <3
