Get a plain cotton tote bag and put your patches on that. BTW - There is a little platter with the teapot tea infuser for it to sit on after you take it out of your mug. :) Also, I'm reading The Gilded Ones right now and it is amazing! SHA(short)-mun, SEER-shu, SANE-go :) OMG! Your kiddo is so adorable!

You can take the lid off the coin box and fit it in the bottom so it's out the way.
Have you tried putting your patches on tote bags? I know you have lots of tote bags haha.

I get people and companies wanting to distance themselves from JK Rowling, but you can separate the art from the artist. I mean, so many "classic" book authors were not great people. And, truthfully, neither are a lot of contemporary authors. But once a book goes out into the world, the experience you gain from it is yours. That does not belong to the author. If it impacted you in a certain way, that might have not been at all what the author intended you to feel, but that does not make your journey with the book wrong. However, if book boxes want to steer clear of JK, but still celebrate all the great memories and experiences Harry Potter has brought into so many peoples lives, then don't include any licensed merch. Work with small, independent artists, which I know a lot of boxes do anyway.

I'm using the tin as a coin bank and I used the shower steamer in my bath lol it was red it was awesome! The black pencil is my favorite and this is my favorite book I d gotten so far.
